How are the Max's compared to the 9500ix?

Better range, less false's, more features... If you have a 9500ix and are happy with it just for detection purposes, no need to upgrade. There are some added features of my Max I became accustomed to in my primary car, so upgraded my 2nd detector to the max just before the 360 came out

I ran the V1/9500ix and V1/Max's side by side for a while, tho never did the 9500/Max side by side.

Yes, for daily use, the escort's gps lock-ins negated any advantages the V1 had (distance, arrow indicator)
