In the video, a cord snaps on this paraglider. The pilot gets the spinning glider to the ground but dies. Passenger lives.

A hero pilot saved his passenger's life after a cord on their paraglider snapped mid-flight sending them plummeting to the ground.

Purushottam Timsina, 22, incredibly managed to save Gaurav Choudhary, 32, from almost certain death by courageously piloting their broken craft to earth.

He tragically died from his injuries but his heroics in the air meant Chaudhury managed to escape with only a broken leg.

I'm just shocked that these two people had such drastic outcomes from the incident. Unless the article is leaving out information that would lead me to believe that the guy who died had fallen a further distance than the survivor.

Or was it the way he hit the ground? It's crazy.

As I'm getting older, my desire for thrills is just disappearing...even simple things like roller coasters don't appeal much to me anymore. Part of it is that I feel there is something with my inner ear that has less of a tolerance for spinning these days. It doesn't take much spinning to throw off my equilibrium.
