not a good sighting...
I was at discount tire out by the mall in Joliet getting a tire on my boss' car fixed
this young guy pulls up in a nice 03-04 Termi
clean car...
he knows one of the guys in the shop
after chatting w/ him a few min he comes inside
I was wondering what tires he would be getting for it
I think he ended up ordering a couple nitto drag radials
he pays the deposit and the dude tells him it'll be about 3 days till they come...
so he says OK and leaves .
now he revs it up for his buddy a little and pulls out showing off his new car a little(still had the temp tag on it)
dude makes a right out of the discount tire lot , for those of you who know the area, its along the old country buffet heading toward steak & shake
then I hear him give it hell all the way through 1st and hit second.
(car sounded good~)
(I thought he was on Rt. 30 heading east, not still in the parking lot)
theres a stop sign between old country buffet & the next lot (target and steak and shake)
dude hits a grand am square in the door at wot in 2nd gear
every one at discount tire heard it
now the police, fire trucks, and paramedics come
nose is knocked clean off the termi
what a hit!
I was like what was that dude thinking?
but , theres a small detail the guy in the cobra has going for him...
the stop sign at that intersection was laying in the mulch
I seen the cop try to stand it up, and it had mud all over it so ya could tell it had been like that a while
so who knows what will happen
now I don't recommend driving that aggressive in a parking lot, but the lack of stop sign might save this dude
and dude in the wrecked cobra, if you are a forum member I hope to god you got the insurance squared away, and you have decent insurance , cause that $hit looked expensive!
