Where an idler would be placed is the spot that the 5.0 originally had the auto tensioner, and since I am running a manual tensioner there obviously is no need for it. The belt didnt flop around at all while running this setup last season and there is enough wrap around each of the pulleys, so Im ok with it.

Man the chassis is spotless on that truck. Great work it should fly with this setup.

Not to belittle his project that I'm BEYOND envious of, it looks like he did the same basic thing I did as well (Cup brushed the frame and hit it with POR15 or something of the sort, you can still see the irregularities in areas like the cross bracing where it's hard to get 100% clean).

I'm glad someone is still carrying the Ranger torch onward :bowdown:.

Yep, I spent a lot of time cleaning up the frame. Took it apart all the way down to the frame and wire wheeled it up, prepped, and painted. You should've seen the garage floor.... It was orange.

Only 400 to the crank?.... Hmmm...
