4500ish is much better than 7k for a hellion kit. 9s and a total budget of 7k would be killer.

4500 kit wheels and tires maybe some fuel shiz call it a day

2015 Mustang GT hood vibrates at highway speeds - Page 2

anyone else noticed this?

paging all 2015 and newer mustang owners.

i live in north dakota and i can open up my car pretty much anytime. its flat enough to see the curvature of the earth lol. nothing but farmers fields between me and grand forks.

i hit triple digits all the time and living 10 miles out of town ive noticed this at least every single time ive been over 120.

i dont have hood struts 37k car with a fucking prop rod god damn it ford cmon! at least my shit box wbody doesnt seem like the hood will eat the windshield at 130. oh and it has hood struts.

struts being ordered this week and ill pin the bitch i have to. 130 i shut down on saturday night because i noticed the hood line just in front of the windshield all over the damn place.

sad i cant wrap the speedo past 130 with out thinking ill rip the hood off.

check out that link.

i just went to bottom out my hood bumpers in the front and see if that helps like mentioned in the thread.

anyways im not batshit crazy if others have noticed this too....

Meh, my Subaru hood would lift up over 75 mph. The second day I owned it I got it up to 100 and thought it was just on the safety latch. Get back under 75 and it looked closed again

well good thing nothing around here no one has been next to me long enough to ring it out past like 120

pansies not much around here wants to play i need to go hunt some vettes on thursday or something once they all leave culvers......

only ones ive got to mess with so far is a evo x and a bolt on 350z both got dusted and i didnt even get over 120....

i can take blacktop county roads all the way to work too if i wanted so this hood deal really is kind of irritating me.

Alright so back to this article I read while in Afghanistan. This article keeps burning in the back of my mind. How in the hell do I go about chasing these types of gains just through a tune?

Anyone know much about going with an AEM infinity tune?

I realize it may cost a pretty penny to add an AEM infinity but I think it would pay big dividends once bolt ons and some form of boost are added eventually down the road.

As the article point out over 100hp and almost 150ftlbs under the curve would be huge and im certain that the car feels like a completely different animal with just the AEM infinity tune.

http://www.enginelabs.com/news/how-m...-the-question

Tempted to find out where to send my car or have it dropped off when I go to Washington DC if I could get these kinds of results with just the AEM standalone.

Hell even if the thing costs 3k or less I think it would be worth it. A quick google search showed up AEM infinity standalones for coyote for about a 1k.

JLT Black Textured Cold Air Intake,GT350 Intake Manifold and 87mm Throttle Body and Custom Tuned nGauge Tuning and Monitoring Gauge - 2015-2016 Mustang GT [EVO-JLT-GT350-TBIM-nG-Package] - $2,098.00 : Evolution Performance, Performance Parts & Access

ohh god i need this next along with some longtubes and an e85 tune should make for a pretty solid na setup.

gt350 intake
87mm tb
nGauge
jlt cold air intake

id just like to add some long tubes and a solid e85 tune.

these would be nice for a vortech or procharger down the road and not have to change the entire setup.

the more i look at supercharger kits the more i like the idea of the vortech or procharger setups.

ran into a 2000ish trans am last night. had a cage in it and a few gauges on the drivers side when i got next to it. i was about to go get some gas at the truck stop and he bailed off for the interstate so figured id give chase. i gave the 3 horn honk and i got absolutely murdered from about 70mph. i turned off at the next exit to get gas and he followed. figured he would just take off and leave but he followed me to check out the car.

i told the guy i dont just cruise around picking on the little guys so once i seen the cage i was just curious how bad the ass kicking would be. i knew that car was out of my league but the quesion was by how much

guy laughed and said yeah i only had you on 10 pounds and explained his setup.

408 lq engine ported gm heads 88mm turbo forward facing truck manifolds cut out off the turbo before the k member electronic boost controller and 4l80 with line lock.

claimed 900ish on max boost setting.

guy checked out the new mustang and was impressed with the factory wideband and line lock too.

pretty cool guy and nice to let me check out his trans am.

fellow gear head win or lose i can appreciate that.

I love running into gear-heads 'in the wild'. My Uber driver last night was an Evo guy in a few local clubs.
