First and foremost, this will be a fairly long build. We're hoping to have the car set by Augusr 1 of this year but we're still not sure when things will be set. Anyway, let's get this party started!

This is the build thread for my 2012 Fiat 500 Sport, AKA, The Monster Fiat. I purchased this car in October of 2014 as a bit of a birthday gift to myself. The initial plan was to use it as a weekend warrior on the AutoX circuits and occasionally take it out for some HPDE events; nothing too competitive.

Plans have recently changed for this car and it is now being built to raise awareness and donations for Reach Out WorldWide. I volunteer my time as a heavy equipment operator and building framer in disaster relief situations such as tornadoes and floods. I thought this would be a perfect segway for myself as ROWW utilizes individuals like myself to make complete their missions.

Full build plans will not be listed in this introductory post, however, you will get a feel for what we are doing as the build continues. Any comments, suggestions, and questions are welcome! (Please keep it positive though. We're all adults and there's no need for bashing)

Hope you enjoy the build! Stay tuned for more as we get farther in it!

This was shortly after she was purchased. Pretty much bone stock except for the 500 Madness suspension package and exhaust.

Picked up our tow rig/daily last November and started work gutting and stripping the Fiat

Ran out to pick up our second addition to the garage last weekend. We've got plans for this little one as well. [emoji6]

And the current state of the garage! Fiat is up waiting for some more parts to arrive while we strip more parts that will be unnecessary in this build.

It's been a while since I've been able to get out to the shop and do any work. Now that I've got a month off, I'll be spending some more time out here.

Working on removing the factory suspension tonight. So far I've got the rear brakes and torsion bar out of the car. Back to work to tackle the front!

Back out to the shop finally to finish what I started. Front end is completely disassembled and ready to start the process of fabricating the new subframe and suspension. Just a few more cuts here and there to clear some space and we'll be good to go!

Btw. If anyone needs a stock Fiat engine and transmission for anything, I'm trying to get rid of this one with the ECU. Let me know! [email protected]
