a boring story and some other things ive been up to
a friend of mine wanted to upgrade to a larger tbi in his pick up. the engine he has is the craptastic gm 2.8 v6 and what he wanted was for me to bore out the ports in this junkyard manifold so that he can use the tbi from the gm 4.3. i ended up taking about .300in to a final bore size of 1.75
here's some pictures
the bores are not perpendicular to the bottom of the manifold so i had to use some ball bearing and shims to get it leveled.
this photo shows a before and after. the difference is quite noticeable.
and the final product.
i dont have any installed photos but from what i've heard the difference in output and drivability was noticeable.
anyway if any of you guys need something fabricated, machined or repaired shoot me a pm
