Plan first. Don't just dive in. Installing a tub properly is a major project. Concrete piers or pad. 220 Electric including breaker box and conduit [Frankfort codes]. Any electrical outlet boxes must be at least several feet from the tub. Check codes by you.

Since my tub is 7 person, I used 6" rebarred and fiberglass meshed concrete. I don't ever want to have to worry about the tub tilting or settling.
