My version of poppers. I normally don't eat bacon or cream cheese. But I make these once and a great while.

11 large peppers cut in half and deseeded
1 package of cream cheese
2 pounds if hickory smoked bacon.

Fill each half pepper with cream cheese and wrap one slice of bacon around.

Bake at 400 till bacon crisps up. Usually 30 minutes. Makes 22 poppers.

They are very good guys.

I've tried them on the grill. Doesn't work to good. Bacon ends up burnt and you can't roll them because the cheese will drip out.

pre cook the bacon, cut the tops off the peppers and put the bacon/cream cheese inside. they make these nifty grill racks. or you can cover the open end with bacon and skewer them together like in the pic

Bonus - two grilled brats for dinner.

Two of them are just an orange pepper filled with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon for the lady. Some are jalapenos cream cheese and bacon, and then I did some with the red/yellow/orange peppers stuffed with cream cheese and jalapenos.
