Those with Bassani catbacks (baffles question)

Anyone use the baffles in their car? Does it make it a lot quieter? I have no idea, but i might be going o/r x and for time when its not just me in the car, id like it a little softer.

P.S. anyone have some baffles for 4" tails? Maybe i can try em out?

I have the catted Bassani X pipe and cat back. Stock exhaust manifolds. My car is somewhat loud even with the baffles in and very loud with them out. I put the baffles back in after JPatte told me he could hear my car for half a mile under normal driving. That's a little loud for a daily driver. My neighbors were also complaining. They still say I wake them up even with the baffles in but I tell them to quit complaining or I will take them out again. It does seem to me that the noise level has gone up as the Bassani exhaust has gotten older. :burnout:

i had baffles in my old bassani catback and i took them out. it made it a little bit quieter with them in but nothing major in my opinion. plus i like to be fuckin loud :headbang:

When I first got my bassani catback I opened the box and was like WTF are these things in the tips. Unscrewed and popped those things out even before I put the sucker on.

Never ran the baffles. They are sitting in my garage.

I would leave them out. Not much much of a difference from what I have heard.

On the other hand, don't they advertise more torque with them in?

Says so on the bassani FAQ page.

Thanks for all the input. Might just need a midpipe i can swap cats with.

More torque N/A maybe if you are catless since it helps put back the backpressure loss I guess. If you have race cats like I do I don't think it matters. Even then what are we talkin 2 lb ft?

I've got the baffles in mine... Love it. Midlength bassani headers, x pipe (no cats), and staight back. Has a nice tone to it. Zach heard me from 2 miles away last night!!!

yea, it was crazy! sounds so tame at idle and at cruise deciple but once u get on it, the car roars!!
