Does anyone know of a custom shop in the chicago area? Im interested in shops that specialize in older cars and full custom builds.

If you're looking for a Vette guy, go to Classic Motors in Naperville. They specialize in anything Corvette, up to full restorations. PM me and I'll get you a number and the guy to talk to over there.

But if you're looking for special fabrication like roll cages and race builds, I think a race shop would be better suited, and while I know some shops, I couldn't speak for their quality. Finish Line Performance may be one to look into.

Well, if you're good, there's Auto Werks in northbrook. They're probably illinois' version of west coast customs in the sense that they do some awesome work, and all of the chicagoland celebrities take their cars there. Good shop, i've known Larry for years.
