T5 Dead....t56?

any one know where to get some reading on how hard it would be to swap a t56 in place of my dead t5 on my 2 Valve?

3rd & 4th main are GONE!

i would love to go 6 speed. that is choice #1

looked at the TKO's Astro/G-force ect, but a 6 speed would be KILLER!

6 speed is a little heavier/extra shift, T5 is a little lighter and rebuilding/reinforcing your existing transmission to a bullet proof state may be the least expensive route.

I like Liberty and Pro-Motion transmissions.

+1 but i believe t45's and t5's are pretty similar. they use the same shifters but that is as much as i know about how similar they are.

i was thinkin of going with an astro t5 myself. dont go with g-force. ive heard many service problems with them. if u go with a built t5 go with astro.

if i were u, i'd go with either a astro t5 or a tko500.

t-5 and t-45 are not similar at all(other than the shifter). also i dont know of a bell housing to put a t-5 on a 4.6 unless it is custom/ aftermarket

my mistake... t-45 whoops..... build date is feb 01 so i just missed the newer tran's

i'm not getting much of positive feed back for the 6 speed....
