why are they good?

I have them on my car and i don't think i ever felt a power difference and all i got was a obnoxiously loud car? are they really worth it? i heard they give u like 13 hp or something but who knows.....just wonder what all ur thoughts were on this

I heard they don't make much of a difference. This, plus the fact that they are a bitch to put on, is why i still have stock manifolds.

longtubes are always prefered over short tube ones. they wont make much of a sound difference. i dont think they really dictate how loud it is.

usually if u have decent shorties then its not really worth making the switch to long tubes but if you have stock manifolds then most will say go long tube.

yea i had stockies on there before i got long tubes, and it definately got much louder than when i just had the stock maifolds and a bbk h and my magnaflow cat back...

since i didnt drive the car for like 5 months im just noticing how annoying loud it is, just wonder if its worth it to keep the long tubes...

Its definitely worth it to keep the longtubes, If you want it to be less annoying put a catted mid pipe on, or just get quieter mufflers.

i have a catted mid pipe and im switching to bassani mufflers from magna packs

bassani's will sound AWESOME!!

ive got FMS shorties,bbk O/R x-pipe, and borla catback. its way loud! had bassani catted x before the o/r x and it was tooo quiet. i get alot of drone at cruising speeds but its expected. i may switch back to the catted but idle is too tame! if get a cam on this motor i would most likely go back with the cats

exhuast all works on differences in back pressure to create power.

shorties are good for torque where as they say longtube can help with HP in the higher rpm.

not only that but your putting long tubes on a stock headed and cammed 4v. put some bigger cams in and you'll notice a difference. put some bigger cams in and port them bitches out, and you'll really notice a difference.
