Battery Weight ?

Does anyone know the weight difference between the stock Motorcraft BXT-59 battery and the Optima Red Top?

I still have the stock battery from 10 years ago and the Optima goes up in price by $40 on Sept 1st ($140vs$180). I've never had a problem with mine but if I can save 10-15lbs off the nose I was going to order from Summit tomorrow.

i think i saved about 15 lbs off the nose with my oddysey

i know the oddysey weighs like 13 lbs and the stocker felt considerably heavier i wud guess around 30 lbs, maybe even a little more

pm mustangmike2003, i bought my oddysey off him when he put his car back to stock, and i know he got some really good deal on one off some dealer on corral, he will fill u in im sure

he paid like 65 bucks, dont waste the money on an optima

No hard data here, but just lifting my Optima red top I don't think there's more than a pound or two of difference.

If you're looking for weight savings go with one of the dry cell types like an Odyssey.
