CHICAGO (CBS) — An Indiana car dealer is calling it “the craziest” idea for stealing a vehicle.

A surveillance camera at Laporte Chrysler shows someone driving a truck with a crane onto the lot – hooking up a 2008 Jeep Wrangler – then loading it onto a trailer.

The thief, wearing a hood, then drove off. The unique theft–on Sunday morning–took only six minutes.

“We didn’t know what to think … people come up with any idea to steal something,” dealership owner Matt Magnuson told WSBT in South Bend. “This has to be the craziest one.”

It’s hoped the surveillance video will help catch the thief.

the security snippets are all the news had, too. working in a prison, i think stealing is wrong... however... i think this was hilarious nonetheless. i mean, really? who does this made me laugh for sure.
