Aston Martin, as most know, was just bought by David Richards and a few other "enthusiasts" for close to a billion bones. What most dont know, is the background of Mr. Richards...heres some fun facts
-Owner/Creator of Prodrive - they develop high-performance versions of everyday road cars for the big auto giants (clients include suby, mazda and ford.
-Richards has managed tow Forumula 1 teams: Benetton (1998) and BAR Honda (02-04).
-He owns the tv rights to the WRC
-is soon to become a f1 team owner in 2008 when prodrive enters the grand prix
-he was a rally co driver for finnish driver Vatanen in 1981 (who won the rally that year)
-he is now the chairman and co-owner of Aston
as an aston fan, i couldnt be more excited to see this guy semi in charge. his background is just what this company needs
