We all remember the Vette getting towed and the outcry over it being towed wrong. I don't blame them because IDOT maintains 2 trucks one big and one small and no flat beds. Well in case you thought you wouldn't be subjected to this if you crashed your motorcycle think again.

I am sure those rusty chains are good on the wheels!

I say again, NOT THE IDOT DRIVER's FAULT... He is working with what the state gives him. The lesson to learn is don't crash here.

At least they guy had LOJACK so it doesn't get lost in the impound lot forever...

I remember getting busted riding dirtbikes. My buddy got arrested and I had to follow to the police station. His bike got impounded though. I tried to tell them to strap it down on the flat bed standing up but the guy flat out refused. They laid it on it's side, broke the brake lever and bent his bars and foot peg because of how they strapped it down.

The worst part is that it doesn't appear to have been crashed which means all that damage was done for a paperwork violation.

Even with a flat bed most tow truck drivers will lay it on it's side on a tire and then strap it across

That's just idot, they aren't paid to tow a car nicely to its location. They're paid to get the car out of the way ASAP so that normal traffic can resume. If they were paid to be tow truck drivers it would make sense but they aren't. If you don't want to see this happen to anything you own then don't wreck it or do anything stupid on the highway
