Need a compression tester - anyone near Mchenry have one?

cuz I'd like to borrow it if you do. I know I can rent one at AZ for free or whatever, but yea... thought I'd ask out here first to get something a bit better than the junk they rent out.

if you end up renting/borrowing one, pull the valve core out and blow it out clean it off good....i dont have one (i use a leakdown tester, tells ya more) but the last one i rented looked like they were using it in a mud driveway or something...

if you think its a headgasket you will want to try rodgers rad tester or a leakdown tester.

you could marginally pass a compression test if it is a small leak

its def a small leak, cuz it'll run cool until I boost it up a bit and pump some air into the cooling system...

I really just think I should tear it down and drop new gaskets in and add a few extra #'s on the ARP torque spec like all the other FI LSx folks do.

If it is a common problem, then Why not? Your not talking big $$ to change out the gaskets, just mainly time
