I had a friend that bought a gn just like that. He started taking it apart to do a frame off restoration and found out there was so much hidden rust the car was not salvagable. He ended up cutting it into tiny pieces. What a waste of a few thousand dollars

out of curiosity I was looking at regals.

This 1987 Grand National sat outside the Original Owners house for the past 8 or more years. It does not start, but was told from the owner that the Engine and Transmission is in working order.

i see $4000 worth of parts on it.

i would give him $1500 or so. its sad, but hey, people did DRIVE these cars. and they were alot of peoples dailys in the late 80s early 90s.

Yep. The "good ones" are few and farther between these days.

Not many people bought these and stored them right away, like it seems to be done today. Maybe people "learned the hard way", or whatever ... not sure. Either way, the bright spot in a car like this ... a number of available parts for other cars that are still in good shape.....

That car has been listed for months now. Like others have stated it's a 1500 car. DONE!!!!

I'd give him 1500-2500 depending on the overall completeness of the car... I'd probably find a rust free '87 Regal, and use it as a donor shell, swapping over VIN, and complete drivetrain after refresh, along with all badges, etc, etc.

Lots of rusted out GNs like this exist. parted out all the time.

I bet those T-Tops look AWFUL though. probably no structure left in the top of the car. Hit it with some power and twist it up.
