seems like in these days of local gov't tight budgets and continued increase of liability issues with pursuits, they wouldn't want/need a 6.0l v8 cruiser to 'keep up' with the bad guys nor pay the gas bills for a fleet of them...

I thought the same thing, although I just heard that Batavia just put in an order of something like 10 new Tahoes for patrol duty. Looks like no Caprices here anytime soon

Ford's FWD unibody replacements (Taurus/Explorer) for the Crown Vic are a TOTAL FAIL.

Chevy will gain a majority of all police/fleet sales with Tahoe and Caprice unless Ford wakes up and does an Expedition Interceptor package, which knowing their current way of doing things they won't.
