well i went out and got myself a DD so i can quit DD my turbo'd shit box.
picked up a '93 Eclipse GS (2.0 DOHC) with 101,xxx miles for $700. body is in decent shape, and the interior is in MINT condition. drives and rides pretty good all besides reverse. reverse slips if you go faster than like 1500 rpms. honestly it's pretty peppy and a tad quicker than i expected (not saying it's fast by any means) this is the first time i have ever owned a manual car also. i have practiced in my buddies miata, and failed miserably do to his 6 puck racing clutch. but after about 30 min practice in this, i only killed it twice, and my shifts are getting a tad smoother.
has anyone had any experience with them? any advice? any cheap mods to wake it up a tad bit more? i dont want to go crazy with modding it because this is going to be my "reliable" DD...although i hear that is an oxymoron with DSM's :rollpicard:
ill post up so me pics when i get up!!
