Default oil leak

So since I had my chest surgery I let my buddy borrow my bike for the summer as long as he got a new rear tire and changed the oil. I meet up with him today to show my bike to a guy that was interested in a gsxr 1000. The guy that might buy the bike points out there is an oil leak...I am thinking WTF I never had oil leaking at my place in my garage.

Go back to my buddies place where he is keeping the bike and take the oil drain plug out(looks like it is where the leak is). He definitely stripped the drain plug out when he chabged the oil....fuckin bastard.

Anyone know if those pans can be re-tapped with no problems? Or do you have to get a new pan all together?

Either way, that bullshit is killin me...prety much killed the sale. The bike is perfect except for that now.

i agree with riski new pan. (unless they don't have new pans out to buy, then i'd recomend drill hole to bigger size to use bigger drain plug like the bussa or zx14 worse case scenerio)

Yup, thanks guys. I have experience working on cars...might be able to do this one with the help of a friend or two that knows bikes and is a person that knows mechanics.

I will just do the new pan and gasket. Better to just fix it back to normal the first time.

so dude got to ride bike for free and rack up miles all summer and he couldn't even hold up his end of the deal? It's not like you were asking a lot. I would definately make him pay for the oil pan.
