what are you having problems with? Ive never touched a 5.0 in my life, but Im guessing you are looking at the back of the motor and confused how it actually comes out. Probably have to drop the oil pan, and take off the last main cap to get it out.
Ya i have read that but everyone on stang forums say you dont need to take oil pan off but if thats a more safe way to remove rear main rather then starching new crank and new block that would be worth it
ya i read on drilling the holes and pulling it out that way but the seal is so small that i think i would some how mess something up. i have never done a rear main and didnt think it would be this complex lol. but i figure if i pulled the motor i would have alot more room to work on it due to the car only being on jack stands
im thinking of just pulling the motor and bringing it to a shop to have it taking out and i need to install a new water pump gasket bc it started leaking so having the motor out will hopfully make it easier i will give it a try if that doesnt work take it somewhere
yep after spending 7gs on a motor im just alittle afraid to mess up the crank after what i read so i would rather take longer to make sure its done right
