Best way to gauge selling price?

For you guys who have sold some bikes how did you gauge your price. Should I just look at cycle trader etc. and see what similiar bikes are going for? Any other tips should I bother looking at KBB etc?

I would check craigslist and see what everyone else is trying to get and gauge of the condition from one to the other

Just remember that price is not always the problem when a bike/car doesn't move.
A lot of the time, it's about exposure. Make sure you place the ad in every viable place you can that anyone who would potentially buy it would be.

I look through E-bay and this site: http://www.cycletrader.com

I'll then look through the local paper ads and combine info from all three to set a price.

What are your guys thoughts should I put the exhaust on I have on it for it, it's a full system header, mid-pipe, dual carbon fiber mufflers, should I put the stretch/chain on it? Do you think it will help sell it? Or Leave it stock?

I would'nt waste your time putting on parts if your going to sell.But better to offer parts with sale of the bike.

Like for another 300.00 you can have the exstenders and chain,ya know?
Sell the bike for what you want.If you cant get what you want,then slower lower price till you cant drop the price anymore.

It will sell,may take a lil time and patience,but sooner or later you will get a buyer.
