if you've driven a prius you would know the shifter is electronic on the dash and wont shift into neutral when moving forward.

the thing i saw on the news said the guy was applying both the regular brake and e brake and the car wasn't slowing down. The police officer said he could "smell the breaks" and that he guy looked like he was trying to break. Not sure how he could tell that(other then break lights).
