A friend who has a 1998 Olds Aurora with the 4.0L engine was changing the cam-driven water pump. Went to tap the pulley off and the front of the cam that holds the pulley snapped off! He heard there was an electric water pump that can be fitted on but an internet search found nothing.
Right now the plan is to use a universal remote mount water pump, But if anyone has any info on the above or if you happen to know what's involved in swapping the cam (cost?) please let me know.
