New/Old shift knob

I've had this aluminum shift knob i made originally for my GSX laying in my toolbox since i sold the car. Been wanting to shorten it for the Evo so i finally got around to doing.

Made the thing about 8 years ago so it looked dull

used some buffing compound and a shop rag for polishing

Turned out ok i think

Was planing to make a brand new one but with the CNC lathe out of commission for a while I decided to just make this one fit. Plus hoping that it will pass on the luck of lasting 2xx,xxx+ miles

Looks the same size as the stock one. How do you like it so far? I like the feel of a heavier shift knob. Puts itself into gear practically.

And no not yet. I have to pull off my stock one to measure it. This weekend for sure

You're right about it going into gear a lot easier and it is the same size as the stock. I just needed to shorten the stem about a 1/4 inch to match.
I really need to take the shifter apart to take some measurement or maybe get a stock shifter and modify it because the throw on this thing is loooooooong and it bugs the hell out of me
