Viper with an auto or DCT trans would have been a monster . I think the lack of transmission choices was the reason car was selling very slow and it went out of production

I think a DTC trans may have helped. A little. Vipers are not very comfortable and have a cheap interior. At one point you had a car that shared interior parts with a neon. Come ooon. Haha Vipers were race cars for the street. They didn't change with the times. Now other cars are capable of recording crazy lap times and be comfortable on a cross country trip. Unless it is a pickup or mini van, dodge isn't putting effort in new generations of anything. Look at the charger and challenger.

That motor made really good power in the last Gen. It's no surprise they make that kind of power on 8#.

The 720 is just a marvel hands down. Very little cars will ever keep up with it on the road including modified ones.
