I sold my 2014 5.3 Gmc crew cab for a 2017 raptor last spring. I dont think they sound as bad as some of you make it out to be. Especially from inside the cab.

Do the new gm 6.2 liters have the 10 speed yet? I want to drive one with a ten speed trans.

Right now I would buy another raptor. I think I will lose less money when I sell the raptor then if I would of bought a 6.2 and that is a big factor in why I bought mine.

The ford is defiantly funner to drive and now that I tuned it, it lights the 35" tires up alot more.

Dodge used trucks are dirt cheap....but that interior....do not want
plenty of reasonably priced gm trucks out there, as someone posted below, 6.2 high country for 36k...

that's fucking insane. baby hummer was aluminum block and dod i think... 8.1s sometimes ate lifters?

my 6.0 in my truck uses about a quart between oil changes but i use synthetic and go by the DIC which is typically 6-8k miles.

Anytime I look at a truck it's over 50k for sure and usually over 60k the vast majority of the time.

As someone said earlier, trucks are not cheap.

i mean shit, some engine choices in 2018 1500's are receiving higher tow ratings than some diesel 3/4 and one ton trucks from the mid 2000s

example... new 6.2 crew cab 4x4 gmc max tow package = 11,700 lbs. lbs.

2004 6.0 diesel crew cab 4x4 dually = 12,400 lbs.

Default you have to buy a BRAND NEW pickup today. what are you buying

Ok Iím no truck expert like KJ but I just went onto Chevy and Fordís website to build a truck I would own. I love both of the trucks I speccíd. Wonít do Dodge even though itís cheaper my brother has had 2 brand new ones and both started rust before they were 2 years old.

F150 XLT sport Super Crew 6.5 bed 2wd with some upgrades like spray in bed liner and trim fold hard tonneau 301a, remote start blah blah blah. 45k

Did a Silverado LTZ 6.2 with the same or more options as the Ford built from their packages 52.5k

What gives? Both crew cabs, same bed configurations, same options. I choose the 5.0 on the Ford so it would be more apples to apples with the 6.2. But it looks like the 3.5 in the Ford is just as capable and $700 less.
