This is a photo of the carpet in the new Honda HRV. I've seen similar carpeting in other Hondas as well as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Mazda, VW and some GM As a part time detailer I find this material atrocious. It holds salt and dirt to the point it cannot be properly cleaned and when you do clean it it turns to a frayyed mess and ends up drying like shit. Why are they doing this to us? I'm sure it's cheap but are they not thinking about the longevity of it?

post a pic thats not zoomed in so far.

where is that in the vehicle like foot wells or trunk?

looks like the cheap hair covered trunk mat trash not really carpet.
It looks like the material that is standard in trunks. But that is under the floormat of the driver side door well. I'm coming across this more and more with multiple car manufactures. I can hardly clean it and I'm pretty lost to why good car manufactures have stooped to this level of trash.
