The forward mirrors and B-pillar look correct for a 310.

Google images shows one car with hood mounted mirrors... Out of like 100. And the headlights are round, not square like these. But as you said, the car is modified quite a bit.

My first thought was Datsun but still not sure.

The hood treatment near the headlights reminds me of the 510, but those usually had quad headlights. The 310's had dual headlights, but doens't quite match.
