Makes sense. Both caddies I had back in the day had something like this.

yeah ok....two indicators in the dash with the clicker...some cars playing the clicker/dinger through the stereo speaker/s.... alot of modern cars having a BCM that nags you when the turn signal is on for too long and vehicle speed is over 0mph.

the caddy's/lincolns were smart with the fender mounted telltales having the early "fiber optic" feed line to em...that way you could tell if the bulbs were out....since the bulb itself provided the light. nowadays your bcm monitors current draw for each bulb....

its a sales gimmick for schmucks

then again back then cops werent on bookface their whole shift and actually gave light out "fixit" tickets more often than nowadays
