Anyone follow this? I'm not exactly sure how the scoring is calculated considering the highest average hp engine isn't at the top of the leader board. Still, I've seen impressive powerplants from Hot Rod Magazine's coverage. Too bad they banned 4V engines that cleaned up last year. Doesn't seem like this competition's rules allow the field to represent what's possible in the market.

Here are the Amsoil Engine Masters Challenge 2014 results! This year’s format is two-valve-per-cylinder hot street engines on pump gas with hydraulic roller cams and heads with OE architecture, and they are in a shootout to see which builder can produce the most average power from 3,000 to 6,500 rpm.
There are 30 top builders who have come to the competition with 14 different engine families from big-block and FE Fords to LS engines and Gen II and Gen III Mopar Hemis. There’s even an Olds and a Chevy W-motor. The dyno competition will be going on October 6-10 at the motorsports division of the University of Northwestern Ohio, and as each engine runs we will update this page with the results.
