Yes! TransAm fires for the first time in 3 years

Still so much to go, the engine is about as minimum you can get for running. No accessories, or brackets of any kind. It has power, battery, and is still missing its MAF sensor. No alt, wp...so I couldn't let it run for long at all.

Its a rebuilt LT1 stock displacement
Ported Intake and Heads
11:1 compression
LE 231/239 110LSA cam
Long tubes...

No exhaust right now, dumping right out the header.

Not sure why its idling at 3000rpm, the IAC is suspect, the gasket looked like crap, I need a new one. And the MAF isn't hooked up. Unless I have a vacuum leak from somewhere. I'll have to check over the engine to see if there is a leak somewhere.

Been working on this thing every weekend for a while.

Striped it down to bare chassis, not a single suspension item on it.

Upgraded to C5 brakes, all UMI Rotojoint tubular stuff, LS1 rear, upgraded the fuel pump. Rebuilt all steering linkages, upgraded to a NASCAR 670 steering gear, rebuilt and calibrated PS pump to match gear. T56 swap. List goes on and on.

The only original parts left are the interior, and the unibody. Everything else is rebuilt or new. Nose, Fenders, Hood, Doors, Paint…..
