400km/h or 248mph. Good god.

-Car is running standard gear ratios. No taller gearing.
-This is a customer owned and driven Goliath on 20" R888s.
-Race gas only, no ethanol.
-Switzer had to use Syvecs to tune very specifically around the clutches because they were slipping during gear changes due to being overpowered. Based on the data they acquired from the runs, if the clutches would have held properly, this car would've also broken the GT-R and Lambo E.T. records.
-This car's same 3.8 engine has now completed 4 Moscow Unlimiteds, including the (6) 245+ mph runs it made today, and is still running strong.

And the AMS car over there (the dragtimes car) did 239.5mph in 22.086 seconds. I guess this resets the fastest ET record at the Unlim. sweet FUCK.

For the Moscow Unlimited they use ET to determine the winner of their events. In Russia they treat this race just like in quarter mile drag racing, the car that runs the distance quicker wins Here in the USA we focus on top speed for mile and half mile racing. Just like in drag racing a more powerful car might not be as quick due to things like traction or the powerband of the car. Yury's car uses smaller turbos on a bigger motor vs Goliath using bigger turbos on a smaller motor. Those are very different power curves. Neither is right or wrong...just different.

The Goliath made a great showing and put down a very impressive top speed for sure. It is clearly making more power which is evident by the higher mph but is not surprising because it uses larger turbos than the Alpha 12. We’ve suggested that Yury use a larger tire, longer gear ratio and a larger turbo to help boost his speed in the past but his whole focus has been on breaking the 21 second barrier so he did not want to compromise that by effectively hurting acceleration with a longer gear ratio. For Yury and most of the Unlim participants its all about ET not speed.

Yury has been running his Alpha 12 on the Cobb AP for the past 2 years but now with much larger turbos being used (by us and our competitors) it was only a matter of time that someone would go faster. We have been refining our Alpha packages and have made some advancements in the past couple years that Yury has yet to take advantage of. Who know maybe he will up the ante himself and go with a 14 or a 16 kit now. The competition is heating up so it should be an exciting 2014 season for all GT-R owners and fans alike!
