How to Inspect a Used Engine Block?

Alright so I found a very nice deal for a teksid block. Going to have to travel for it but for the price I can't say no even with me not having enough room for it. Never bought a bare block before so what're some of the things to look for on it to make sure it's good? He says it's got right under 200k miles and you can still see the crosshatching on it. Any tips?

How much power do the WAP blocks hold?

Going to over build the internals on the engine too to handle more power then I want. That way if I ever wanna turn it up more I won't need to worry

There are no documented failures. A teksid block is not necessary to make power.
I have 2 WAP blocks, you can have one!

Might go check it out still and if its nice then pick it up and see if I can sell the heads and make my money back and possibly the block too. Depending on certain factors. Going to have to drive the beater with no exhaust up there. That'll be fun....

I have 2 Marauder shortblocks in poor condition. The blocks are fine, the parts are worn.

It is difficult to sell 'B' Heads FYI.

Most that make power have converted to C Heads.

Man that guy has some bad luck! Hopefully I do not have those issues when I go to build my Teksid. That is also assuming I do not window the block before then!
