they've been getting more out of stock bosch CR injection systems for some time....with the number of gearheads im sure enough headroom got snuck under the beancounters nose's to feed at least 30% more power.

a phasable cam being tuned on a dyno is soooo much easier to find tq than the "old" days of advancing and retarding timing chain keyways :rofl:

just wait, direct common rail injection is gonna let cars run multiple fuels for different markets easy as pie. thats why im sure e100 was factored in fuel flow capacity.

meh some technology is cool and usable

How does this compare to the previous gen 5.3?

Like if you slapped a supercharger on a 2013 Silverado how would it compare.


And yes, I understand this is still the beginning of the future mods, but I'm just curious.

Probably not much less with that 1900tvs. Maybe 460-500 range

Of course, the dyno is where we tell the tale. The 5.0L managed to put down 314.01 hp and 330.21 lb-ft of torque in stock form on our oversized wheels and tires. With the calibrated Roush supercharger system, those figures jumped to 414.74 hp and 369.78 respectively. Accounting for an easy 20 percent drivetrain loss, the F-150 is putting darn near exactly 515 hp through the crank as advertised.

with roush's system on an f150... doesn't say boost #'s though..

this is one of the first attempts though too... ya know.

this is just opening the door to the potential of these things. im betting there is a lot left in all of this.

Oh i know, still more to unlock. GM still bagged it when it comes to tuning. The torque stands out pretty good over ford and the roush setup.
