So I have been told once or twice that I may have a vacuum leak. Now, being a super-novice car girl, I can only learn so much from youtube videos, Ericthecarguy is a big help, but still. I need something a little more hands on to learn.
Would anyone be willing to help me find it?

Take a can of brake or carb cleaner and spray around where you think you might have a vacuum leak. If your shit sputters and dies then you found it.

thats right, I already fixed my exhaust, though Boone County says its still too loud

Some of the comments in here lol, you need something flammable to spray in the areas you suspect a vacuum leak so it will make the car run rich and bog down or fluctuate rpm so you can tell when you have found the leak, carb cleaner is just one of the easy things to use

Use propane. Run a hose off a tank and move it around.

I can imagine Propane is more expensive than carb cleaner

Part of this thread was basically stating that I really dont know where to begin, and I learn hands on MUCH better than just reading about it, partially because there's still so much I dont know. I can't base it off previous knowledge and I dont know where to look to know where "i think there may be a leak." Catch my drift?

any hose that is rubber and hollow (squeeze it) , spray it and listen for rpm changes. thats it.

Or replace all the hoses if they are cracking or discolored. Rubber hose is SUPER CHEAP.

Go slow and do one whole hose at a time. Reseat the hose if its loose.
