So long story short, I've been looking for non pitting/peeling chrome regal wheels for about 2 years since mine are pitting and not holding air.. I finally found a set and the guy posted that he had these for sale and were only on his car for one winter and then he got aftermarket wheels. They had been sitting in his attic for years. He sent me some small, crappy pics and they looked extremely dirty. Well I drove 5 hours into Michigan to pick them up. When I saw them they didn't look as good as I thought they would be, but I took them anyway, hoping they would clean up.
My question is, does anyone know if anything will clean this up or am I screwed? I've already used my favorite wheel cleaner Brown Royal, sonax full effect, paint cleaner, never dull and a #0000 Steel wool.
It helped a lot but it's still got the stains and bumps. Rechroming is about $300 per wheel.
