Friend of mine recently grenaded the motor in his compound boost (Hellion Twin Turbo kit) 2010 GT500. The car was making 22lbs of combined boost using a triple fuel hat on stock internals. Car was making 740RWHP/7XX RWTQ. No sure what the A/F was at.

I have never seen anything like this. The bottom end is was completely destroyed. 7 of 8 rods and pistons shattered and bent and the block had holes and cracks in numerous locations. Some have suggested that he may have sucked up some water but it happened during a consecutive track pass. What the heck causes this kind of failure? I've seen one or two rods go, but not seven.

Tmbutitta's ls2 gto made 773rwhp on 13psi and still runs strong for the new owner 2yrs later.

I believe when Tad owned it; (2) 8hr dyno sessions, a few track days, and maybe a few street passes. Its now seen more dyno time and track passes with the new owner.

I guess its just another example of a "high" hp "stock" lsx.

What do the '03 cobra motors make with the removal of the blower and then a turbo install? Those last awhile and make good numbers, no?
