2001 FORD EXCURSION - SECOND OWNER

DIESEL

99,834 MILES

VIN#: 1FMSU43F11EA71308

This truck is nice. I purchased the stock in 2004 with 78,000 miles. Do the math - that is only 5,000 miles/year. I am selling my excursion because it just sits in the garage.

Since then I have added many options:
1. GTP 38R Ball Bearing Turbo - 88 mm compared to the stock 80 mm turbo.
2. AFE Stage II Cold Air Intake
3. MBRP 4" T-409 stainless steel exhaust with 5"T-304 stainless steel tip.
4. Turbo Boost Relief Valve (set at 20 psi)
5. TS Performance Six Position Chip - Valet, 50, 75, 100 and 140+ hp.
6. Triple pillar gauges - pyrometer, boost and tranny temp.
7. Braided stainless oil pressure crossover hose.
8. Billet grille
9. Clear front turn lenses and Euro tail lights (I also kept the stock lights too).
10. Front, Second, Third Row and Cargo - Husky liner floor mats - carpet in good condition.
11. Tinted front driver and passenger windows.
12. New Motocraft batteries this past fall from Ford.
13. Vent Shades and Bug Shield has been added.
14. B&M Transmission Cooler
15. All New Brakes, Rotors, Pads and Brake Pistons at 99,000 miles
16. New Water Pump at 80,000 miles and Transmission rebuild at 99,000 miles.

Nice SUV - has not been dragged, or used as a puller truck - I am just a gear head by nature. I have only used synthetic Royal Purple motor and gear oils.

there is so much life left in that thing... and that 7.3 is such a badass mean motor.

after driving my buddies 01 to wyoming this summer... i am in love... he has a bigger turbo like this one, 4 inch exhaust turbo back, and a verrrrry conservative tune, and the truck got 18~mpg at 78 mph and 21~ at 70mph and never once got turned off for 19 hours straight.

excursions are also noticeably bigger on the inside than suburbans ( i think they are overall like 6-7 inches longer.)

mmmmmm, diesels.....I'm right there with you though, if i knew diesel would stay low I would so rock something diesel, but the price is so unstable, and can shoot so high. I would keep the vibe for now, and wait to see what gas prices do when the market stabilizes in like 3 years. :picard:

god if i knew diesel was gonna stay sub-3$...id off the vibe and rock this in the winter for sure.

my moms ex had an F250 with a cummins special order from the factory, he got a power chip for it, roughly around $500, but he averages over 28MPG when he pulls his 28ft baja to Shelbyville, so $4 diesel with that kind of MPG i wouldnt worry
