... but have to wait a year until I can buy one used and modded.

2011 Harley Davidson VRSCX Night Rod in new color Sedona Orange. Porsche engine in a Harley. I have been looking at the Night Rods in black but this orange is too cool. Unfortunately, buying a new bike is a rip off. Pay list price, add taxes and options and you end up paying 20K for a 15K bike. Buying it a year later after someone else takes the hit and adds a couple grand in mods is smarter. Sigh.

Watching some youtube vids and reading cruiser mag. reviews. Comparable muscle cruiser bikes are the VMax, Vulcan, Triumph Rocket and Victory Hammer. VROD wins most of the reviews for overall package. VMax is faster. Hammer is more stylish but VROD has the complete performance/handling/cool factor package.

I saw an interesting blast from the past bike when I was researching. Anyone remember the 2004 Honda Rune? Originally $25K. Now $16K on ebay. Totally useless for anything besides looking cool while riding 1 up but sex on wheels appearance. Win the lottery and put one in your garage. Here's a pic.

I'm watching Night Rod sales on Ebay. Saw an '08 go for $9,800 a while back. Most go in the High $10Ks, low $11Ks for the '08s. Dealers want a couple grand more. Since I'm in no rush, I will wait to find one that is already modified (seat/exhaust) for under 10K. When winter approaches there should be a lot of northern bikes up for sale.
