Just wondering since a buddy of mine swears this is the easiest way of doing it.

i have done both hydraulic and solid lifter set ups both running and off. hydraulic is much easier with it running because the lifter can bleed pressure causing you to adjust the valve too tight. while on the solid ones i like while the car is off better because its less messy, the car doesnt have to be on or warm to do solid lifters. and if you do it often the constant beating on the feeler gauges wears them out

I thought it was my valves ticking but I tracked it down to an exhaust leak.....CRAP!
