Lucid Air is the company that packed the drivetrain into nondescript white van called "Edna" and blew the doors off a Viper and BMW i8.

These look great in the videos but seriously doubt that top speed or the van 1/4 mile wont be repeatable without spending half of the rest of the day recharging while the Viper could do hot lap runs all day long.

I know it has a real dash!!! I hope it has "Cooled Seats" as an option.

The only huge downside compared to Tesla is the worldwide charging network. Relying on other companies isn't great. I've had good luck with ChargePoint but everything is no longer free and now really expensive.

I'm not sorry, Styling wise the Lucid Air looks better than all of the Tesla's.


Honestly, if the performance figures for production hold up, that's going to be a bonkers fast car.

Charging infrastructure is an issue for long trips away from home base, Tesla does have everyone beat there.

The problem is that they are all trying to make big bank, and the charging speeds are a poor comparison to the Tesla Supercharger network. We need a real, standard that is as prolific as gas pumps.
