It's not rod knock, it's piston slap, alot of cars have it until they are warmed up.

But yes, the TBSS pan design is fucking retarded.

THat too... sounds like a old clunker for the first 5-10 minutes.

But they have rod knock issues as well. There is a long list of people with blown motors (spun bearings) at 60k to 100K miles.
The trick is too run extra oil to help reduce the oil starvation. But it doesn't work 100%, especially on the TBSS AWD oil pan.
A higher flow oil pump helps to. The circulation of oil inside the motor is not adequate.

IT's not just the AWD, it's both. They both have the same pan. Yes, extra oil was a patch job. But now PCM4less has new pickup tube.

Ls2's do not have a priority oiling system. And it's normally the #6 rod that gets the beating from oil starvation.

I wonder if this will cause others to bring up more suits because GM is fucking garbage.

The piston slap issue as noted above of all LS engines, the myriad of issues with the garbage suspension on the GTOs, etc.

but who cares about the piston slap... i'd still rather have that issue in a 2000-2007 gm pickup than the shit gas fords or dodges from that era had...
