2015/16 Buick Envision Crossover

Buick doesn't seem to be looking for flashy new models. First they come out with the Cascada convertible and now the Buick Envision Crossover. The Envision will be released in China this year and probably in the U.S. in 2016.

Launched on the Chinese market at first, with a North American release likely to follow for the 2016 model year, the Buick Envision comes with a couple of segment-first features. Additionally, the new crossover marks a premier for the brand, being the first Buick-badged vehicle to sport an Off-Road driving mode.

As with most GM vehicles built and launched in China, the Envision is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder unit that comes with decent output figures and a brand-new six-speed automatic transmission. The crossover promises to deliver class-leading fuel economy of nearly 27 mpg combined.

This is why it's safe just to have a number and letter naming scheme. These names are horrible.

Cascada means waterfall. How stupid is that for naming a convertible?

Envision is the inbetween model surrounded by the Encore and Enclave. Guess it should be pronounced Onvision? :smile:

How is this company still in business. IMO Pontiac makes more business sense, at least it was somewhat relevant to people under 50.

Boy I have wished Pontiac was still around. What is not readily obvious here is that Buick is a HUGE success in China. That's why it's still around.

Does GM 'envision' attracting younger buyers with a rebadged Chevy Equinox with plush leather ? I said the same thing about Pontiac in the Buick Cascada thread. They keep saying we want younger buyers, yet continue to target the geriatric crowd not baller enough to buy a caddy.

I actually like the name Cascada but its just a rebadged G6.

I'd rock the Envision. That leather looks like it smells delicious and just soaks up your body.
