3800 Trans trouble

MY overdrive ouit working it started acting up ,checked the fluid i was two quarts low filled it up ,was driving the next couple of days i noticed it wasnt shifting into overdrive. The fluid is not burnt and it shifts fine otherwise
does anybody have a clue? hopefully i didnt burn it out Any help would be great I havent been on at all lately been married and workin on the house and all that good stuff i live in berwyn now,cant afford internet,hopefully soon Ihope everyone is well thanks chris

sounds like the 4th gear clutch shaft went out and it is some what common. I dont know if being 2 quarts low had anything to do with that but it sounds like it is time for a rebuild. Whats the milage and do you beat on the car a lot? Were you ever under boost in 4th gear, our trans do not like that.

mileage is 109,000 ,i dont beat the hell out of it but i do drive it like it's meant to be driven.Where is a good place for a rebuild and how much do they cost?thanks chris

PM, LPSPEED2 i believe he works at a trans shop and have built a few transmissions fot grand prixs.
