Also if you go the spray paint method use a heat gun to bake/dry the finish. It holds up a lot better.

No flaking, a couple of chips but that's from when I banged the torque wrench into it when doing my brakes

I did mine two years ago and they still look alright. Probably going to re paint them black sometime when i get motivated. I used a toothbrush and about 1 can of brake cleaner for each caliper. You results are as good as your prep work.

Brake clean brake clean brake clean. Use a lot of it! Also use a good wire brush. I've always taken some fine sand paper after every things clean to scuff the surface a bit. Also if its really caked, use some sand paper.

whenever i get f body calipers (i'm planning on it at some point) they'll also get painted silver before they go on. nothing too noticable, just want it to look stock and not stand out.

No, if you get F-Body calipers (though if you're thinking about getting them make sure you're not getting a different car) you will get them podwer coated because it will look and last sooooooo much longer.

i could just get two f body brake calipers and two new rear calipers have em coated then built.

why didnt you buy my f-body brakes? they were tapped for the right size, powdercoated black and i rebuilt them with all new seals and had stainless lines. i let that shit go for cheap. now got3800 dude has them. they're probably red now.
