FIXED!! I need some help!!!

I plan on doing a engine swap. From a non s/c engine to a s/c engine. I know my gt trans wont work on the s/c motor. what do i need to replace in the tranny to allow it to run with the s/c?

all i want to do it swap engines not top swap but my trans i have on now wont work for sure. i dont know what to upgrade on my trans to allow it to work with a s/c motor. anyone understand what im sayin?

no. we don't, because you are wrong,

look into stuff more.

l67 will work with your non hd trans... just wont be the strongest.

top swap your l36 (heads/lim/s/c...yadda) have a high compression s/c motor and be fast.

ok i have a gp gt right now. im getting a wrecked gtp. it has no trans in it. i wanna take the motor out of that and put it into my gt to make it into a gtp. im PRETTY SURE that the trans i have in my gt wont work on a gtp motor. am i wrong or do i need to upgrade things internally on my trans

It will bolt right up, just don't romp too bad on it and it should last for a while. Or fuck it do neutral drops for about a week and get that shit rebuilt

i kno i dont know much but wouldnt it just be a lot easier to just do a top swap? i mean i guess it might be easier to pull the motor and stick a new one in it.

you are wrong.

upgrading stuff isnt a necessity, it will work without doing it, but it just wont be as strong, a built trans would better suit your needs if you plan on modding the car further.

but the l67 will bolt up to your trans.

if i were you tho, i would just pull the top end off of your current motor, and put the l67s on it.

if i were you id top swap it still, keep the l67 block under your bed or something and then if the l36 165k mile motor blows, swap it with the 115k mile one.
