thats the problem, the ignition systems between, n/a and the L67 are the same, so in theory, you want more spark in a boosted application. unfortunatly the msd coils are not the answer.

Fixed. NA and Supercharged 3800 use different coils.

then whats the difference? can you find specs on each?

If anything, there may be a difference in the driver, but it is more cost effective for them to share the same coils, so I don't see why they would be different........My L36 coils work fine in a car under boost BTW

iirc there were diffferent part numbers for the na and sc cars till 00 or 01 then they used the same coils for both after that...the old na part numbers were the same p#'s as the older DIS 2.8's, 3.1's, 3x00's....i've put the older 3100coils of a SC 3800 and had missfire issues...mighta been a bad coil but the motor i tooke em off of ran fine with em (the 3100 original tot he 442)
